Matthew
2.1-12
After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in
Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to
Jerusalem and asked, Where is the one who has been born king of
the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him.
When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem
with him. When he had called together all the people's chief
priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Christ
was to be born. In Bethlehem in Judea, they replied, for this is
what the prophet has written: 'But you, Bethlehem, in the land of
Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of
you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of my people
Israel.' Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from
them the exact time the star had appeared. He sent them to
Bethlehem and said, Go and make a careful search for the child. As
soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and
worship him. After they had heard the king, they went on their
way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them
until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw
the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw
the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshipped
him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts
of gold and of incense and of myrrh. And having been warned in a
dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by
another route.
Reflection:
My dear
loving brothers and sisters, I wish you a nice new year.
We can begin this year with a new hope.
Jesus comes each day again to us with new blessing. It can come in
form of joy or also in form of trials, but Gods divine plan is in
it.
The today's Bible word shows this in very beautiful way. The three
kings have a very long journey behind themselves.
They
had to face many
trials during the journey, but they went forward because the STAR
guides
them.
Then they found to Jesus; they were full joy and peace. They gave
their gifts to Jesus and
worshiped
him.
Finally they went another way!
-
Jesus is our star
in all time,
so don’t be worry travelling
with him to heaven;
keep always,
I have to reach the heaven.
-
The kings offered
their gifts to him. Which gift can we give him?
Our life, our desire, our plan, our
tension, our worry... He
will open it, asks for it.
-
The kings went another way. In our
life we must pay attention to go not the wrong way but
to go the right
way!

Mark
2.1-12
A few days later, when Jesus again
entered Capernaum, the people heard that he had come home. So many
gathered that there was no room left, not even outside the door,
and he preached the word to them. Some men came, bringing to him a
paralytic, carried by four of them. Since they could not get him
to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof
above Jesus and, after digging through it, lowered the mat the
paralysed man was lying on. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to
the paralytic, Son, your sins are forgiven. Now some teachers of
the law were sitting there, thinking to themselves, Why does this
fellow talk like that? He's blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but
God alone? Immediately Jesus knew in his spirit that this was what
they were thinking in their hearts, and he said to them, Why are
you thinking these things? Which is easier: to say to the
paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Get up, take your
mat and walk'? But that you may know that the Son of Man has
authority on earth to forgive sins . . . . He said to the
paralytic, I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home. He got
up, took his mat and walked out in full view of them all. This
amazed everyone and they praised God, saying, We have never seen
anything like this!
Reflection:
The Gospel narrated to us a remarkable story of the persistence of
four friends to bring their paralytic friend to Jesus. The process
of approaching Him was never easy. The door was very crowded that
they could no longer get in.
They had no choice but to carry the paralytic up
to
the roof and lower him in front of Jesus. Their efforts never
unnoticed. Jesus saw their faith. At once, Jesus told the
paralytic, "Child, your sins are forgiven"
There are many "paralytics" in our time. Those who have become
unbelievers and sceptics of God's forgiveness and those who can
not forgive themselves. We should act as friends to them so they
can once again encounter the Lord. As friends, we can journey with
them towards inner healing, we can pray to the lord; give me a
gift of faith.

Matthew
18.1-5
At that time the disciples came to
Jesus and asked, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? He
called a little child and had him stand among them. And he said: I
tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little
children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore,
whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the
kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes a little child like this
in my name welcomes me.
Reflection:
Who is the greatest in kingdom of heaven?
My dear loving brothers and sisters in Christ, Jesus speak to us,
how can we get good position in heaven.
He
says whoever humbles himself like a child is the greatest in
kingdom. What are the things we can study from child?
-
a
tendency to think and act spontaneously, rather than fears
-
an
ability to enjoy each movement
-
a
loss of interest in judging people
-
a
loss of interest in interpreting the actions of others
-
a
loss of the ability to worry
-
frequent smiling
-
a
tendency to let things happen.
So we can ask for the grace of being like a child.
I
wish you a nice prayer meeting.

Bible word Mark
2.13-17
Once again Jesus went out beside
the lake. A large crowd came to him, and he began to teach them.
As he walked along, he saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax
collector's booth. Follow me, Jesus told him, and Levi got up and
followed him. While Jesus was having dinner at Levi's house, many
tax collectors and sinners were eating with him and his disciples,
for there were many who followed him. When the teachers of the law
who were Pharisees saw him eating with the sinners and tax
collectors, they asked his disciples: Why does he eat with tax
collectors and 'sinners'? On hearing this, Jesus said to them, It
is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not
come to call the righteous, but sinners.
Reflection:
Jesus sees in Levi
not a sinner but a potential disciple. And so he calls Levi to
follow him, to learn from him, to obey him, and lead others to
him. Levi responds with full commitment to go with him for Jesus’
kingdom, it is the best decision of his life.
After calling
Levi, Jesus proceeds to share his table in his house,
a move more deepening with the Pharisees.
In reply to their questions, Jesus makes the surprising answer,
"those who are well do not need a physician. I did not come to
call to the righteous but sinners". His ministry is directed at
those are honest enough to recognize that they need healing and
salvation, we can pray to Jesus make me in your good instrument.
I wish you a nice

6.7-13
Calling the Twelve to him, he sent
them out two by two and gave them authority over evil spirits.
These were his instructions: Take nothing for the journey except a
staff- no bread, no bag, no money in your belts. Wear sandals but
not an extra tunic. Whenever you enter a house, stay there until
you leave that town. And if any place will not welcome you or
listen to you, shake the dust off your feet when you leave, as a
testimony against them. They went out and preached that people
should repent. They drove out many demons and anointed many sick
people with oil and healed them.
Reflection:
When Jesus sends the Twelve to peach, he tells them that they take
only the minimum requirements for the journey-walking stick and
sandals. They must depend on God for their food and shelter. His
providence will be manifested in the hospitality of those who
listen to the word. The apostles are sent with the power and
authority of their message. Where they are not allowed preach,
they must shake the dust off their feet as testimony against the
town and its inhabitants. The main purpose is an invitation to
repentance.
So Jesus told them FULLY DEPENDS THE
PROVIDENCE
OF GOD, we can ask for this grace to totally depend on his
wonderful providence.

6.7-13
And when you pray, do not keep on
babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of
their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what
you need before you ask him. This, then, is how you should pray:
'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom
come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today
our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven
our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from
the evil one.' For if you forgive men when they sin against you,
your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not
forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
Reflection:
The Lord's prayer constitutes a multitude of themes and
applications that touch the very core of Christianity. First, it
shows Christ's proximity to the father in terms of relationship
and intimacy. His knowledge of the Father reveals his very
identity. He invites us to join the intimate union between Him and
the father.
Second it gives light into Christ's mission on earth, example,
preaching the kingdom of God. Jesus longs for the kingdom of
heaven to reign in our world. He came to us for this very purpose.
So we can have the small prayer in our heart: "Jesus make me in
your beloved child, may I experience in the kingdom in my daily
life".

Matthew 25.31-46
When the Son of Man comes in his
glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in
heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and
he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd
separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his
right and the goats on his left. Then the King will say to those
on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your
inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of
the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I
was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger
and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was
sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to
visit me.' Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we
see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to
drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or
needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in
prison and go to visit you?' The King will reply, 'I tell you the
truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of
mine, you did for me.' Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart
from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for
the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing
to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a
stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you
did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look
after me.' They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you
hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in
prison, and did not help you?' He will reply, 'I tell you the
truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you
did not do for me.' Then they will go away to eternal punishment,
but the righteous to eternal life.
Reflection:
Today's Gospel talks about the practical ways of doing the second
commandment of Jesus Christ, i.e., love your neighbour. The gospel
illustrate two different groups of persons, namely as goats and
sheep. The gospel presents the clear line between the two groups,
i.e. their attitudes towards others. The former is far away from
their neighbour's needs while the latter is doing something for
them. The gospel is challenging us to reflect on how we express
our love for others. As Jesus said: „What you did it to me" Do we
see Christ in other people?
I
believe St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta did not only live the gospel
message but also shared it to others. She is the model of real
sheep for others. She cared for aged, the sickly, and the
abandoned children in India. Are we the goats or the sheep of our
family? Are we willing to lend our hands to others without
expecting any rewards?

Matthew 17.1-9
After six days Jesus took with him
Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high
mountain by themselves. There he was transfigured before them. His
face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the
light. Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah,
talking with Jesus. Peter said to Jesus, Lord, it is good for us
to be here. If you wish, I will put up three shelters- one for you,
one for Moses and one for Elijah. While he was still speaking, a
bright cloud enveloped them, and a voice from the cloud said, This
is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!
When the disciples heard this, they fell face down to the ground,
terrified. But Jesus came and touched them. Get up, he said. Don't
be afraid. When they looked up, they saw no-one except Jesus. As
they were coming down the mountain, Jesus instructed them, Don't
tell anyone what you have seen, until the Son of Man has been
raised from the dead.
Reflection:
God grants once in a while moments that make us forget the
problems and frustrations of life. Such movements inspire us to go
on with life and its problems. It may be good recollection or
retreat, it may be the enriching conversation with good friend.
Actually, every Eucharistic celebration is supposed to be such a
"mountain experience" where we leave behind our daily restlessness
and find in the presence of God, inspiration and new strength for
the difficulties of life.
"As they were coming down" today's gospel ends, indicating that
Jesus did not remain on the mountain but joined his friends going
down into the valley where many problems were waiting. In the same
way he accompanies us from every "mountain" back into daily life.
Assuring us of his presence and guidance so that we reach one day
the glory of our resurrection as he did.

Luke 6.36-38
Be merciful, just as your Father
is merciful. Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not
condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be
forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure,
pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured
into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured
to you.
Reflection:
Luke proclaims the gospel of God's mercy and compassion. His
fifteenth chapter tells of shepherd's concern for a single lost
sheep, a woman's search for a lost coin and father’s joy for a
returning son. There is no condemnation, only care and rejoicing.
Jesus is the visible and living sign of Father’s compassion. Using
comparisons and parables, he preaches mercy; more important, his
life speaks the truth of his words. He has compassion for the
crowds (Mk
6.34) and attends to their many needs. He welcomes sinners and
eats with them.
Here, he challenges his disciples to imitate his and the Father’s
Mercy, so we can ask for the special grace for our life.

Luke 18.9-14
To some who were confident of
their own righteousness and looked down on everybody else, Jesus
told this parable: Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a
Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood up and
prayed about himself: 'God, I thank you that I am not like other
men- robbers, evildoers, adulterers- or even like this tax
collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.' But
the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up
to heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'God, have mercy on me, a
sinner.' I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went
home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be
humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.
Reflection:
Coming to God is a journey towards oneself.
I.e.,
accepting who I am -
my strengths and limitations, all my assets and liabilities. It
takes a lot of courage to discover the truth about oneself and lot
of humility to articulate it.
Let us take the two characters in today's parable. The Pharisee
failed to see and accept the truth about him. In his prayer he
exalted himself and despised the tax collector. On the other hand,
the tax collector in all humility accepted the truth of his
sinfulness. He did not compare himself with others. In his prayer
he beat his chest and begs God's mercy and forgiveness. This man
experienced peace and reconciliation with God, self, others and
the world.
We can ask to God, to give me humility in my life.

John 4.43-54
After the two days he left for
Galilee. (Now Jesus himself had pointed out that a prophet has no
honour in his own country.) When he arrived in Galilee, the
Galileans welcomed him. They had seen all that he had done in
Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, for they also had been there.
Once more he visited Cana in Galilee, where he had turned the
water into wine. And there was a certain royal official whose son
lay sick at Capernaum. When this man heard that Jesus had arrived
in Galilee from Judea, he went to him and begged him to come and
heal his son, who was close to death. Unless you people see
miraculous signs and wonders, Jesus told him, you will never
believe. The royal official said, Sir, come down before my child
dies. Jesus replied, You may go. Your son will live. The man took
Jesus at his word and departed. While he was still on the way, his
servants met him with the news that his boy was living. When he
enquired as to the time when his son got better, they said to him,
The fever left him yesterday at the seventh hour. Then the father
realised that this was the exact time at which Jesus had said to
him, Your son will live. So he and all his household believed.
This was the second miraculous sign that Jesus performed, having
come from Judea to Galilee.
Reflection:
The evangelist John tells that the healing of royal official's son
is the second sign that Jesus does when he comes to Galilee from
Judea. The "signs" in Johns' gospel refer to Jesus’ wondrous
deeds. These are meant
to arouse faith, an initial faith that can lead one to the person
of Jesus. It is a faith that can leads to intimacy with the Lord
and, thus, to life.
The royal official wants Jesus to come with him and heal his
child. Such a request displays some faith in Jesus’ healing power.
Instead of going with the royal official, Jesus tells him: „you
may go; your son will live" Jesus invites him to believe in his
word. The man responds in faith and does as he is told. He comes
to a deeper faith when he realizes the effective power of Jesus’
word in the healing of his son. Not only he but his whole
household come to faith. The healing is a sign that manifests the
life-giving power of Jesus’ word and calls for a deeper faith in
the person of Jesus, the word of life.
Today we can specially ask for his healing power in our life.

John 18.1-19
When he had finished praying, Jesus
left with his disciples and crossed the Kidron Valley. On the
other side there was an olive grove, and he and his disciples went
into it. Now Judas, who betrayed him, knew the place, because
Jesus had often met there with his disciples. So Judas came to the
grove, guid- ing a detachment of soldiers and some officials from
the chief priests and Pharisees. They were carrying torches,
lanterns and weapons. Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen
to him, went out and asked them, Who is it you want? Jesus of
Nazareth, they replied. I am he, Jesus said. (And Judas the
traitor was standing there with them.) When Jesus said, I am he,
they drew back and fell to the ground. Again he asked them, Who is
it you want? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth. I told you that I
am he, Jesus answered. If you are looking for me, then let these
men go. This happened so that the words he had spoken would be
fulfilled: I have not lost one of those you gave me. Then Simon
Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest's
servant, cutting off his right ear. (The servant's name was
Malchus.) Jesus commanded Peter, Put your sword away! Shall I not
drink the cup the Father has given me?
Then the detachment of soldiers with its commander and the Jewish
officials arrested Jesus. They bound him and brought him first to
Annas, who was the father-in-law of Caiaphas, the high priest that
year. Caiaphas was the one who had advised the Jews that it would
be good if one man died for the people.
Simon Peter and another disciple were following Jesus. Because
this disciple was known to the high priest, he went with Jesus
into the high priest's courtyard, but Peter had to wait outside at
the door. The other disciple, who was known to the high priest,
came back, spoke to the girl on duty there and brought Peter in.
You are not one of his disciples, are you? the girl at the door
asked Peter. He replied, I am not. It was cold, and the servants
and officials stood round a fire they had made to keep warm. Peter
also was standing with them, warming himself.
Meanwhile, the high priest questioned Jesus about his disciples
and his teaching.
Reflection:
What is the message of the
cross? The cross is the sign of the immeasurable love of God,
because on the cross Jesus suffered the whole misery, the hatred
and the egoism of the humanity so that through his suffering and
death a new world could come into existence, a world where there
was no more misery, no more hatred, no more contempt. There would
only be God’s love permeating everything.
In our day today life, really we are also taking cross Jesus is
our strength and power of all our situations
Today we can ask Him a special grace, Jesus give me more courage
to take the daily cross.

John 21.1-14
Afterwards Jesus appeared again to
his disciples, by the Sea of Tiberias. It happened this way: Simon
Peter, Thomas (called Didymus), Nathanael from Cana in Galilee,
the sons of Zebedee, and two other disciples were together. I'm
going out to fish, Simon Peter told them, and they said, We'll go
with you. So they went out and got into the boat, but that night
they caught nothing. Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the
shore, but the disciples did not realise that it was Jesus. He
called out to them, Friends, haven't you any fish? No, they
answered. He said, Throw your net on the right side of the boat
and you will find some. When they did, they were unable to haul
the net in because of the large number of fish. Then the disciple
whom Jesus loved said to Peter, It is the Lord! As soon as Simon
Peter heard him say, It is the Lord, he wrapped his outer garment
around him (for he had taken it off) and jumped into the water.
The other disciples followed in the boat, towing the net full of
fish, for they were not far from shore, about a hundred yards.
When they landed, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish
on it, and some bread. Jesus said to them, Bring some of the fish
you have just caught. Simon Peter climbed aboard and dragged the
net ashore. It was full of large fish, but even with so many the
net was not torn. Jesus said to them, Come and have breakfast.
None of the disciples dared ask him, Who are you? They knew it was
the Lord. Jesus came, took the bread and gave it to them, and did
the same with the fish. This was now the third time Jesus appeared
to his disciples after he was raised from the dead.
Reflection:
Jesus not only asked them
if they had eaten already, but He also prepared the burning
charcoal for them to cook the fish they have brought in. If only
we were more thoughtful and considerate of the needs of the one
another. If only we learned to anticipate and look after each
other’s needs.
Are you able to look beyond
your own concerns and needs? Are you aware that other people have
the same and even greater needs than you?
May the Lord teach us to be
more understanding, more considerate of others. May the Lord teach
us to go beyond the I, me and myself. Yes, may the Lord teach us
really go beyond our comfort, reach out and really love.

John 6.1-15
Some time after this, Jesus crossed
to the far shore of the Sea of Galilee (that is, the Sea of
Tiberias), and a great crowd of people followed him because they
saw the miraculous signs he had performed on the sick. Then Jesus
went up on a mountainside and sat down with his disciples. The
Jewish Passover Feast was near. When Jesus looked up and saw a
great crowd coming towards him, he said to Philip, Where shall we
buy bread for these people to eat? He asked this only to test him,
for he already had in mind what he was going to do. Philip
answered him, Eight months' wages would not buy enough bread for
each one to have a bite! Another of his disciples, Andrew, Simon
Peter's brother, spoke up, Here is a boy with five small barley
loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?
Jesus said, Make the people sit down. There was plenty of grass in
that place, and the men sat down, about five thousand of them.
Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those
who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the
fish. When they had all had enough to eat, he said to his
disciples, Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be
wasted. So they gathered them and filled twelve baskets with the
pieces of the five barley loaves left over by those who had eaten.
After the people saw the miraculous sign that Jesus did, they
began to say, Surely this is the Prophet who is to come into the
world. Jesus, knowing that they intended to come and make him king
by force, withdrew again to a mountain by himself.
Reflection:
Jesus proclaimed himself as
the True Bread from heaven which gives life to the world. In the
Eucharist the Christian community is nourished twice in the
liturgy of God’s word and the liturgy of the Eucharist which
offers Jesus’ Body and Blood.
It is sad to note that few
really appreciate God’s concern for the spiritual nourishment:
“Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes
from the mouth of God.”
Many simply find life with out meaning; they get bored or
depressed. They attempt to satisfied themselves with material
things and earthly pleasure but can not achieve true Happiness
that last forever.

Do not let your hearts be troubled.
Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many
rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there
to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for
you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may
be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.
Thomas said to him, Lord, we don't know where you are going,
so how can we know the way? Jesus answered, I am the way and the
truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through me.
Reflection:
That Jesus is always at our

.Whenever we are frustrated, He is always there ready to accept
our failure. Whenever we feel abandoned and rejected, we can learn

I am the true vine, and my Father is
the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit,
while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will
be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I
have spoken to you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No
branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine.
Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. I am the vine;
you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will
bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does
not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and
withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and
burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask
whatever you wish, and it will be given you. This is to my
Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be
my disciples.
Reflection:
The gospel reminds us that
as “branch we belong to the vine and the vine to its branches”. So
we belong to Him and He belongs to us. In our trials and moments
of critical decisions and even when we turn away from Him, God
simply remains in a relationship that is unconditional, a
relationship that is life giving and fruitful, only as long as we
stay connected with Him .The only way to bear fruit is remain
faithful, to be rooted in prayer and in upholding and living the
truth. The Lord is very clear. He wants us to be connected with
Him so we may bear fruit till we reach the fullness of life.

Matthew 13.54-58
Coming to his home town, he began
teaching the people in their synagogue, and they were amazed.
Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers?
they asked. Isn't this the carpenter's son? Isn't his mother's
name Mary, and aren't his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas?
Aren't all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all
these things? And they took offence at him. But Jesus said to them,
Only in his home town and in his own house is a prophet without
honour. And he did not do many miracles there because of their
lack of faith.
Reflection:
Jesus’ ministry in Galilee
is based in Capernaum. His brief visit to Nazareth, his home town,
is met with opposition. Those who Jesus teaching and the accounts
of the miracles he has done are amazed. They wonder about the
source of his power and wisdom. Jesus is so familiar a figure to
them that they find it hard to believe that he could be other than
ordinary. They know him as the son of Joseph the carpenter. Jesus,
his mother, brothers, and sisters have been their neighbors from
many years. How could he now be so different from them, from the
image they have of him in their minds? And so “they were unwilling
to be live in him”. Because of the people’s lack of faith, Jesus
does not perform many miracles in his home town. Their rejection
of him highlights the growing conflict between how people see him
and his true identity. The end, it will lead to conflict with the
authorities, who refused to believe that is the son of God.

John 12.44-50
Then Jesus cried out, When a man
believes in me, he does not believe in me only, but in the one who
sent me. When he looks at me, he sees the one who sent me. I have
come into the world as a light, so that no-one who believes in me
should stay in darkness. As for the person who hears my words but
does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I did not come to
judge the world, but to save it. There is a judge for the one who
rejects me and does not accept my words; that very word which I
spoke will condemn him at the last day. For I did not speak of my
own accord, but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say
and how to say it. I know that his command leads to eternal life.
So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say.
Reflection:
“I came into the world as light, so that
everyone who believes in me might not remain in
darkness”-Light and darkens are the primordial actors on the
cosmic scene, as in the creation account (Gn1:1-3) and in the
parallel word of John’s Gospel (John 1:4-5)
In classical dualism, light
stands for good and darkness for evil. Jesus proclaims himself the
light of the world (john 8-12). Aside from being opposed to evil,
Jesus, as the light, points to his revelatory character. He is the
personal presence of God. Jesus as God’s word wisdom come to
enlighten everyman on what pertains to the divine-human
relationship. Jesus comes into the world as light in order to
rescue every one who believe in him from the darkness of ignorance
,evil chaos, etc, and not to dazzle everyone with his divine glory.

John 14.7-14
If you really knew me, you would know
my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.
Philip said, Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for
us. Jesus answered: Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have
been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen
the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'? Don't you
believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The
words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father,
living in me, who is doing his work. Believe me when I say that I
am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on
the evidence of the miracles themselves. I tell you the truth,
anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will
do even greater things than these, because I am going to the
Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son
may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my
name, and I will do it.
Reflection:
Jesus emphasizes the mutual
indwelling of Father and Son: “The Father is in me and I am in the
Father”
(John 10:38). The words he speaks are given him by the Father
(John 12; 49), just as the works he does are given him by the
Father to do (John 5:19-20). His
works testifies on his behalf. These works will be entrusted to
the disciples. After he goes back to the Father, they will do even
“greater works”.
These will be accomplished among the disciples but by his spirit
within them, and it is only by going to the Father that the spirit
will come to them (John 16; 7).

As the Father has loved me, so
have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you obey my commands,
you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's
commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my
joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.
Reflection:
“If you keep my
commandments, you will remain in my love…..”
John expresses in terms “remaining” with Jesus, to follow Jesus is
to remain with him, to be intimate with him, to love him. Yet
union with Jesus can not be reduced to sentiments alone. Jesus
embassies that the true measure of love is the disciple’s
willingness to keep his commandments: to love God (and Jesus) and
one’s brothers and sisters. And the measure of the disciple’s love
for his neighbor is his willingness to lay down his life for them.
Verse 10 recalls the conclusion of Jesus’ sermon in the synoptic
gospels:
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom
of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in
heaven” (Mt 7; 21; luk6:46). The saying emphasizes the necessity
of obeying his teachings.
Here, the setting is Last supper, the “hour” when Jesus shows his
love for his own to the very end (John13:1). Jesus proves his love
for the Father and his disciples by offering his very life.

Mark 12.38-44
As he taught, Jesus said, Watch out
for the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing
robes and be greeted in the market-places, and have the most
important seats in the synagogues and the places of honour at
banquets. They devour widows' houses and for a show make lengthy
prayers. Such men will be punished most severely. Jesus sat down
opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the
crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich
people threw in large amounts. But a poor widow came and put in
two very small copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny.
Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, I tell you the truth,
this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others.
They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty,
put in everything- all she had to live on.
Reflection:
“The poor widow put in
more……”
This gospel passage speaks how the attitude we have to keep. The
scribes who are experts in religion fail in it; they pride
themselves on their theological learning and meticulous religious
observance yet are guilty of counterfeit piety; they are high
before men but are actually nothing before God. On the other hand,
a poor widow who probably knows little of the Law acutely fulfils
its requirements. Why? By contributing all she has, she shows a
remarkable generosity, a sign of total dependence on God. Her gift
of two coins is noteworthy for she could have kept one for
herself. By giving them all, she actually gives more “More” here
is not in amount given but in sacrifice. An example of true Jewish
piety, she is capable of detachment, sacrifice, trust. A nobody in
this world is actually rich before God. It is a wonder of the
Gospel that those who are truly poor somehow manage to give the
little that they have. And those who sacrifice everything for God
actually gain everything.

Matthew 6.7-15
Reflection:
God knows very well the heart of the people, he will answer it, it
is not the force of one who pray, but it is the loving and caring
concern of God.
God knows all and sees all. He looks upon men and women with
loving paternal eyes. He knows exactly what they lack; they do not
have to use many words in order to draw his attention. What they
need are child like confidence and love.
The word "Father" is the key to the Lord's prayer. The God whom
Jesus proclaims is also the God of Israelite God of Abraham, Isaac
and Jacob. But Jesus reveals him as Father. From childhood to
death, Jesus manifests his total dedication to the Father's will.
The disciples are to forget themselves and seek only the Father
and his reign; with the spirit of children they are to ask for
bread, forgiveness, and deliverance from evil.

Matthew 13.18-23
Listen then to what the parable of
the sower means: When anyone hears the message about the kingdom
and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away
what was sown in his heart. This is the seed sown along the path.
The one who received the seed that fell on rocky places is the man
who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. But since he
has no root, he lasts only a short time. When trouble or
persecution comes because of the word, he quickly falls away. The
one who received the seed that fell among the thorns is the man
who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the
deceitfulness of wealth choke it, making it unfruitful. But the
one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who
hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a
hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.
Reflection:
The parable plays
on the principle of „hearing and understanding" the word of God
and the contrasting pictures of two kinds of listeners.
Understanding does not refer to mere intellectual comprehension,
but to the acceptance of an idea that leads to committed action.
There are those who hear the word of God but does not internalize
it. Their faith, if it can be called that, does not survive a
crisis brought about by tribulation or delight in worldly things.
In contrast one who truly hears and understands allows the word to
take root in his life. In the process of the parable is not the
soil but the fruits, the result of actions and deeds. They are the
people to whom the kingdom of God is given.

18.1-8
Then Jesus told
his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray
and not give up. He said: In a certain town there was a judge who
neither feared God nor cared about men. And there was a widow in
that town who kept coming to him with the plea, 'Grant me justice
against my adversary.' For some time he refused. But finally he
said to himself, 'Even though I don't fear God or care about men,
yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she
gets justice, so that she won't eventually wear me out with her
coming!' And the Lord said, Listen to what the unjust judge says.
And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry
out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell
you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when
the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?
Reflection:
Today's Gospel tells us about the power of
prayer and draws us to the persistent "prayer" the widow who prays
untiringly. It also reveals to us God the loving Father. the
evangelist writes "Will not God then do justice to his chosen ones
who call out to him day and night?" Indeed, unlike the judge who
listens to the widow because of her persistence, God listens to
the prayer of the chosen ones because he is all good, because he
only wishes the best for his beloved children. We are sometimes
driven by despair to ask why God seems slow to answer our
petitions. But we wait for his time, he will do the best for us.

When Jesus came to the region of
Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, Who do people say the
Son of Man is? They replied, Some say John the Baptist; others say
Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets. But
what about you? he asked. Who do you say I am? Simon Peter
answered, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus
replied, Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not
revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven. And I tell you
that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and
the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys
of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound
in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in
heaven. Then he warned his disciples not to tell anyone that he
was the Christ.
Reflection:
Today’s Bible words give us more reflective thinking of our day
today life.
Our
life is like a journey to the kingdom of God, every day a new day
is
starting in our life Journey.
Jesus ask a question to us, it is very relevant question for life,
for our joy.
"Who
am I for you?"
We have our own
answer, but don’t forget to give a correct answer for him; the
very correct answer or a super answer
Peter
gave to Jesus. “YOU ARE THE SON OF LIVING

-
so if we have in our mind this right answer it will very much help

While they were eating, Jesus took
bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples,
saying, Take and eat; this is my body. Then he took the cup, gave

This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for
the forgiveness of sins. I tell you, I will not drink of this
fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it anew
with you in my Father's kingdom. When they had sung a hymn, they
went out to the Mount of Olives.
Reflection:
Dear
loving my brothers and sisters,
we can be always keep a thankful heart, because in every
Eucharistic celebration Jesus is very much presences, and coming
to our heart. Yes it is really true that we have all have our own
life difficulties and problems, but still we have to keep a deep
thought that Jesus is very much alive in my heart. It will give us
more power and strength in our daily journey to the kingdom of
God. Every day we have to ask one question to ourselves, is my
loving Jesus growing every day in my life? Or is he very small
now? So we have to think and practice to more growing in Jesus.
First of all we have to keep a good heart; secondly we have to
purify our life, run away from the sin.
Joshua 3.5: Joshua said to the people “Purify yourselves, because
tomorrow the Lord will perform miracles among”.
Dear brothers and sisters, sometimes we have to ask ourselves: am

That same day Jesus went out of the
house and sat by the lake. Such large crowds gathered round him
that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood
on the shore. Then he told them many things in parables, saying: A
farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed,
some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some
fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang
up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came
up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had
no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked
the plants. Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced
a crop- a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. He who has
ears, let him hear.
Reflection:
My
dear brothers and sisters,
by this parable very clearly explain to us how fruitful way the
word of God will work in our life. We have many chances to
receive the word of God, and for example, during the holy mass we
are
hearing the word of God, by prayer meeting we are hearing the word
of God, for retreat we are hearing and experiencing the deep power
of the word of
God. One question remaining in us: Why the power or the grace is
disappears
very soon in my life? If we meditate by this excellent parable we
all will get the right answer for our everyday questions. It will
help or teach how
we
can keep this power all the times. Jesus is the sower-he is sowing
the
word of God different times and way in our life.
Seed is the word of God, and our heart is the soil
-
we
have to keep in our mind a seed will grow and have a much fruit in
a good soil. Ask to question:
Is
my heart good? A good heart will help to have a much fruit, a
loving heart and prayerful heart we can keep always. For the grace
we can ask for
our Lord.

He told them another parable: The
kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and
planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all your seeds,
yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes
a tree, so that the birds of the air come and perch in its
branches.
Reflection:
My dear loving brothers and sisters,
today’s reflection help you to more growing in your spiritual

the beginning it is a very small seed but later it becomes a very
big plant. So may be our faith is very small now, we can be happy
of it, but when the suitable atmosphere gets our faith also must
be like a tree. How we can grow more and more in the deep faith?
First of all we look to our life in a positive way and count the
number of blessing and grace we received from our Lord. Then we
see how much God is alive in my life, and some times we have to
keep inner silence. Blessed mother Theresa of Calcutta says,
silence produce prayer, prayer produce faith, faith produce love,
love produce service and service produce peace.

Once again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down
into the lake and caught all kinds of fish. When it was full, the
fishermen pulled it up on the shore. Then they sat down and
collected the good fish in baskets, but threw the bad away. This
is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and
separate the wicked from the righteous and throw them into the
fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Reflection:
This parable helps to think more about the good. Jesus says, the
“kingdom of God is like this. Some fisher man throw their net out
in the lake and catch all kinds of fish, when the net is full,
they pull it to shore and sit down to divide the fish: the good
ones are thrown their buckets, the worthless ones are thrown away”
Jesus will divide the good and bad, we have to ask one simple
question, when the time of division where I get a place? This
parable speaks us to be good fish, how we can be good person? To
love God and to love our neighbor, I would like to share a story
to you. It is story of the two brothers, one is married he had
five children, other brother is unmarried, they have a common land
for cultivating, the work together, after the harvest they equally
divide the money, one day the elder brother was thinking, when he
become older the children will take care of him, but my brother is

of his brother to give more money. In that day the younger brother
was thinking I am alone, when I become older I am alone, but my

money to him, he also was going the brothers house, during the

Then Jesus said to his disciples: Therefore I tell you, do not
worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what
you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body more than
clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have
no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more
valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a
single hour to his life? Since you cannot do this very little
thing, why do you worry about the rest? Consider how the lilies
grow. They do not labour or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon
in all his splendour was dressed like one of these. If that is how
God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and
tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe
you, O you of little faith! And do not set your heart on what you
will eat or drink; do not worry about it. For the pagan world runs
after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them.
But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as
well.
Reflection:
My dear brothers and sisters,
today’s bible words give us a very positive point for our life.
Jesus is very strongly speaking to us “we trust in Go” and
“believe the providence of God”. These two words are mainly
highlighting this bible words. We know that to entering the Room
we need a key, without key we can not enter the room. For reaching
or experiencing the love of God we need a key. One day Jesus told
to Peter I will give you a key to the kingdom of God, we have a
two “key” by this key we can experience the love of God, the keys
are: - trust in God, and be live the providence of God. When we
truly believe in God’s mighty providence in our life, we will not
worry about tomorrow. Many people are worry about tomorrow. These
worry will destroy their mental peace and harmony of life. Only
one solution for this situation: trust in God and believe the
providence of God.

Immediately Jesus made the disciples
get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while
he dismissed the crowd. After he had dismissed them, he went up on
a mountainside by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there
alone, but the boat was already a considerable distance from land,
buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it. During the
fourth watch of the night Jesus went out to them, walking on the
lake. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were
terrified. It's a ghost, they said, and cried out in fear. But
Jesus immediately said to them: Take courage! It is I. Don't be
afraid. Lord, if it's you, Peter replied, tell me to come to you
on the water. Come, he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat,
walked on the water and came towards Jesus. But when he saw the
wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, Lord, save
me! Immediately Jesus reached out his hand
and caught him. You of little faith, he said, why did you doubt?
And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down.
Reflection:
My dear brothers and sisters,
these bible words gives us a very deep
meaning in our daily life. Jesus said “courage” how nice and
encouraging word Jesus said to Peter, that
word very much helped him. Peter also wanted to walk like Jesus,
but the bible we can see it very clearly he fold down why? Jesus
told him “How little faith you have”, our life also like a
journey to the kingdom of God. Or we can define our life is
like tree, natural and pleasant growing and bearing much fruit.
Really we all have a very nice wish to have
good life journey, nobody like to fold down in this
journeys how can we get it? Only believe and trust in God,
and with loving grace of God, when we ask this grace he will give
us. Bible we can see that Jesus walks on
the water. before he was walking on the water he spend much
time for prayer .deep prayer will very much help to walk
very properly.

came to him, crying out, Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My
daughter is suffering terribly from demon-possession. Jesus did
not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him,
Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us. He answered, I
was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel. The woman came and
knelt before him. Lord, help me! she said. He replied, It is not
right to take the children's bread and toss it to their dogs. Yes,
Lord, she said, but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from
their masters' table. Then Jesus answered, Woman, you have great
faith! Your request is granted. And her daughter was healed from
that very hour.
Reflection:
Faith is the very nice
gift. We all like to get a gift. Faith is very precious gift in
our life journey, and Jesus answered the Canaanite woman “YOU ARE
A WOMAN OF GREAT FAITH”. Why Jesus told this woman of great faith?
Because she believed very much that Jesus can heal her daughter,
so she came to Jesus and asking his mercy and healing. First of
all Jesus did not mind her but she was with out stopping asking
his mercy. Jesus was challenging her faith. So faith is like a
key, it is the key of healing, and experiencing the loving
providences of God in our daily life. So today’s prayer meeting we
can ask for this nice gift, so we can more believe and trust in
him.
I wish you a nice
prayer meeting.
We can specially pray for the world youth day in Germany. It may

Matt. 16.13-20
Reflection:
Jesus asked peter what people says about me? He said people says
"some says John the Baptist, others Elijah, still others Jeremiah
or one of the other prophets, but Jesus asked him what about you?
He said „YOU ARE THE MESSIAH, THE SON OF LIVING GOD"
Very nice answer he gave this answer by from the Holy Spirit.
Today Jesus is asking me who am I for you? We also have to give
nice answer. From our life, we experienced much blessing and
wonderful providence in our life. So we can also say you are the
son of living God, this we can keep in your heart always.
I wish you a nice
prayer meeting.

Matt. 16.21-27
From that time on Jesus began to
explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer
many things at the hands of the elders, chief priests and teachers
of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be
raised to life. Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him.
Never, Lord! he said. This shall never happen to you! Jesus turned
and said to Peter, Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling-block
to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things
of men. Then Jesus said to his disciples, If anyone would come
after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses
his life for me will find it. What good will it be for a man if he
gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man
give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man is going to come
in his Father's glory with his angels, and then he will reward
each person according to what he has done.
Reflection:
Jesus explained to his
disciple about his cross and suffering, but hearing this
explanation Peter did not like this message. He said, Jesus, it
will never happen in your life. Jesus said your thinking is divine
only human.
“Take the daily cross and follow me”. We all like happy and joy,
pain and failure nobody likes it. But don’t forget these are also
parts of our life. How we can think of it, we can take it
everything in Jesus’ mind. We are the pilgrims people we have the
permanent place in heaven. All the suffering is a purring
experience to bear more fruit.

prayer experience.

Matt. 18.20
For where two or three come together
in my name, there am I with them.
Reflection:
“For where two or three come together in my name I am therewith
them.” This word of God always helps our prayer group, for example
suppose pope says two or more gathered in my name I will give a
special audience. It becomes a super news in all over the world. I
am quite sure that very soon millions of people make small groups
and gathered together for the pope audience. Here our lord says to
me and to you; please gather in name of me I will be with them. I
would like to share a small experience. When I was in India
contenting prayer meeting a woman came and told me about her
husband, she told me, he is not at all loving her, and not giving
any money to her family. By this intention we all prayed, the
miracle happened the next week. Her husband also came for the
prayer session and he had much change in his life. So Gods loving
presence is with us when we gather together. We have to pray every
day for growing the prayer group. In my prayer group in Manila I
am praying for growing, now more than 50 people are attending
every week.

Reflection:
Dear loving brothers and sisters,
„God has a very nice plan for our life." What is the plan of God?
Be a good child of God!
How can I be a good child? To love the papa
very well, and love all children of our papa. Papa likes
that we must be an obedient child, then
papa will be very happy of it. So as a good child we have a duty
to make our papa happy in all our time. So very practically what
we can do, to do something beautiful for God and men, and search
the kingdom of God.

Matthew 20.1-16
For the kingdom of heaven is like a
landowner who went out early in the morning to hire men to work in
his vineyard. He agreed to pay them a denarius for the day and
sent them into his vineyard. About the third hour he went out and
saw others standing in the market-place doing nothing. He told
them, 'You also go and work in my vineyard, and I will pay you
whatever is right.' So they went. He went out again about the
sixth hour and the ninth hour and did the same thing. About the
eleventh hour he went out and found still others standing around.
He asked them, 'Why have you been standing here all day long doing
nothing?' 'Because no-one has hired us,' they answered. He said to
them, 'You also go and work in my vineyard.' When evening came,
the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman, 'Call the workers
and pay them their wages, beginning with the last ones hired and
going on to the first.' The workers who were hired about the
eleventh hour came and each received a denarius. So when those
came who were hired first, they expected to receive more. But each
one of them also received a denarius. When they received it, they
began to grumble against the landowner. 'These men who were hired
last worked only one hour,' they said, 'and you have made them
equal to us who have borne the burden of the work and the heat of
the day.' But he answered one of them, 'Friend, I am not being
unfair to you. Didn't you agree to work for a denarius? Take your
pay and go. I want to give the man who was hired last the same as
I gave you. Don't I have the right to do what I want with my own
money? Or are you envious because I am generous?' So the last will
be first, and the first will be last.
Reflection:
This parable gives us a very nice insight for our life.
By
the insight
explains
about the kingdom of heaven.
The
owner of the vineyard invite for
the
workers for the working in his vineyard.
He
paid everyone the same those
who
come late also.
So 3 points we can take it for our reflection:
-
Invitation:
God is
inviting everybody for his vineyard, so it is our duty to
respond
the God’s call for the work for the kingdom of God,
whatever
we do
the
name of Jesus is a kingdom work
-
it makes joy
and happy for others
-
He
reward is very high. So we can happy to work the kingdom of God
-
It
revels
God’s mercy to us, he will forgive our sins in a merciful way,
and we
also
forgive others too.

Matthew 21.28-32
What do you think? There was a man
who had two sons. He went to the first and said, 'Son, go and work
today in the vineyard.' 'I will not,' he answered, but later he
changed his mind and went. Then the father went to the other son
and said the same thing. He answered, 'I will, sir,' but he did
not go. Which of the two did what his father wanted? The first,
they answered. Jesus said to them, I tell you the truth, the tax
collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God
ahead of you. For John came to you to show you the way of
righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors
and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not
repent and believe him.
Reflection:
By this bible words give us a very nice explanation. That who will
enter the kingdom of God first.
A
man had two sons he said the elder one go and work in the
vineyard, he said I will not go, but later he changed
his mind and went for the work.
The
other
son said I will go for work in the
vineyard, but he did not go. So the father is very happy with the
elder son,
because he changed his mind and went for the work for the
vineyard.
Changing
of the mind is very necessary for the kingdom of God.
How
a real change take
place in our life.
The
Holy
Spirit
can change our mind and heart; “God says I
will give you a new heart and mind”.
So
today we can specially pray for that.

Luke 11.5-13
Then he said to them, Suppose one of
you has a friend, and he goes to him at midnight and says, 'Friend,
lend me three loaves of bread, because a friend of mine on a
journey has come to me, and I have nothing to set before him.'
Then the one inside answers, 'Don't bother me. The door is already
locked, and my children are with me in bed. I can't get up and
give you anything.' I tell you, though he will not get up and give
him the bread because he is his friend, yet because of the man's
boldness he will get up and give him as much as he needs.
So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and
you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For
everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who
knocks, the door will be opened. Which of you fathers, if your son
asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for
an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil,
know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will
your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!
Reflection:
These bible words give us the importance of prayer. Prayer is like
a “key”. If we enter the door we need a key, like that to enter
the kingdom of God. Prayer is very necessary. If we look the life
of our Jesus, he spends much time for praying and solitude. It was
the power point of his life. He tells us “ask and you will
receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened
to you”. He continues, the Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit
to those who ask him. So we can ask the power and the fruit of the
Holy Spirit, then our life will be more joyful and fruitful.

Luke 11.5-13
Meanwhile, when a crowd of many
thousands had gathered, so that they were trampling on one another,
Jesus began to speak first to his disciples, saying: Be on your
guard against the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden
that will not be made known. What you have said in the dark will
be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear
in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs. I tell you,
my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after
that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear:
Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw
you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him. Are not five sparrows
sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God.
Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be
afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
Reflection:
Very encouraging bible words for all. The key word “Do not be
afraid” - usually we are worrying of many things in our life. If
we look the bible we can see more than 400 times speak about do
not be afraid - only one thing, we can trust in Him, and we can
believe his Providence in our life. So all our worries and
sufferings we can give in Jesus’ hand. Our life will safe, future
will be safe.

As Jesus approached Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the

was happening. They told him, Jesus of Nazareth is passing by. He

the way rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all

he replied. Jesus said to him, Receive your sight; your faith has
healed you. Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus,
praising God. When all the people saw it, they also praised God.
Reflection:
The blind man experienced Jesus is so good, because he received
the eye sight, because of miracle, he saw everything very clearly.
Jesus is the son of the living God. He is very ready to help us to
more sight. We have an eye sight, thanks to God. We can ask to get

Matt 22.34-40
Hearing that Jesus had silenced the
Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. One of them, an expert in
the law, tested him with this question: Teacher, which is the
greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord
your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all
your mind.' This is the first
and greatest commandment. 39And the
second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'
All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two
commandments."
Reflection:
My dear loving brothers and sisters,
we all know that in the greatest commandment. I would like to give
you a new insight connected with commandment. Suppose to open a
room we need a key. It is very necessary, if we have not the right
key we will spend many hours before the door and it will not open.
But if we have the right key immediately it will open. Many people
say, why God is not answering my prayers? Or my family or friends
are not open to me. These are our daily complains, the commandment
is the right key. Jesus said to love God with all your heart and
all your strength - the result will open the heart of God. To love
the neighbours the same way the result will be, they will open
their heart.

at those seated in a circle around him and said, Here are my

Reflection:
My dear loving Brothers and sisters,
this bible words gives two main insights for you. One insight,
Jesus looked at the people and said: “look here are my mother and
brothers” and He said whoever does what God wants him to do is my

Matt 25.1-13
At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who
took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them
were foolish and five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps
but did not take any oil with them. The wise, however, took oil in
jars along with their lamps. The bridegroom was a long time in
coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep. At midnight
the cry rang out: 'Here's the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!'
Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish
ones said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil; our lamps are
going out.' 'No,' they replied, 'there may not be enough for both
us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for
yourselves.' But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the
bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to
the wedding banquet. And the door was shut. Later the others also
came. 'Sir! Sir!' they said. 'Open the door for us!' But he
replied, 'I tell you the truth, I don't know you.' Therefore keep
watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.
Reflection:
Jesus teaches almost all time by the parables, because parables
always represent heavenly meaning. What meaning does this parable
gives us?
The five of them were foolish and five of them were wise. We call
the five as foolish because they did not prepare the sufficient
oil for their lamps and because of the absence of the oil, they
could not enter the weeding feast. Others who had sufficient oil,
they entered the weeding feast with the bridegroom.
This parable means at any times Jesus can come and take our life,
so we must be prepared, we must be ready with oil in lamps. What
is the meaning of oil in this parable? It is our love, kindness,
goodness, truthfulness ………..
and our holiness too. Today we can pray for the more blessing and
ask for the sufficient blessing to achieve the kingdom of God.
I
wish you a nice prayer meeting.

The blind man who become very happy in his life because he got

When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the

the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the

goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his

are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom
prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry
and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me
something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I
needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after
me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.' Then the righteous
will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you,
or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a
stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you?
When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?' The
King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one
of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.' Then he
will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are
cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his
angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was
thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you
did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me,
I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.' They also
will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a
stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help
you?' He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not
do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.' Then
they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to
eternal life.
Reflection:
Dear loving brothers and sisters in Christ,
these bible words may help us very much opening in our heart and
our inner eyes. You all have some times thoughts about your
school life, our teachers, our friends, our jokes and finally our
examination too. If we get a good grade in the school, we are very
happy. Suppose if we fail the exams it is of course a pain full
and bad experience. So we will study hard to get a good result.
Here the gospel speaks about the final judgment; God is going to
give the grade or mark for our life. If we had done good thing we
get a good grade, if we had done bad thing the bad grade. So he is
going to judge with some simple questions “I was hungry, I was
thirsty, I was stranger, I was naked, I was sick, I was prison, -
what you did for me?” - So these are the simple questions every
day in our life to reach the kingdom of God.
Dear brothers and sisters we have a golden opportunity when we are
on earth to do good thing to others, without
to be tired we can do many many good things, the words of
mother Theresa of Calcutta “something beautiful for God and
something beautiful for man”
I
wish you a fruit full prayer meeting.

Luke 15 1-10
Now the tax collectors and sinners were all
gathering round to hear him. But the Pharisees and the teachers of
the law muttered, This man welcomes sinners, and eats with them.
Then Jesus told them this parable: Suppose one of you has a
hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the
ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until
he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his
shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbours
together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.'
I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in
heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous
persons who do not need to repent.
Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Does she
not light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she
finds it? And when she finds it, she calls her friends and
neighbours together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my
lost coin.' In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the
presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
Reflection:
A
Jewish story tells of good fortune of a hardworking farmer. The
Lord appeared to this farmer and granted him three wishes, but
with one condition that whatever the Lord did for the farmer would
be given double to his neighbour. The farmer, believing his good
fortune, wished for a hundred cattle. Immediately he received a
hundred cattle, and he was overjoyed until he saw that his
neighbour had two hundreds. He wished for a hundred acres of land,
and again he was filled with joy until he saw that his neighbour
had two hundred acres of land. Rather than celebrating God’s
goodness, the farmer could not escape feeling jealous and slighted
because his neighbour had received more than he. Finally, he
stated his third wish: that God would strike him blind in one eye.
And God wept.
In both parables calls for celebration, because after searching
they find the sheep and find the coin, we are in a good mood of
celebration, may be we have lost some goodness from our heart, we
can ask for the special grace for a “GOOD HEART’

Luke 15 11-32
Jesus continued: There was a man who had two sons.
The younger one said to his father, 'Father, give me my share of
the estate.' So he divided his property between them. Not long
after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a
distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living.
After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that
whole country, and he began to be in need. So he went and hired
himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his
fields to feed pigs. He longed to fill his stomach with the pods
that the pigs were eating, but no-one gave him anything. When he
came to his senses, he said, 'How many of my father's hired men
have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! I will set
out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned
against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called
your son; make me like one of your hired men.' So he got up and
went to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his
father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to
his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. The son said to
him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am
no longer worthy to be called your son.' But the father said to
his servants, 'Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a
ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened
calf and kill it. Let's have a feast and celebrate. For this son
of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' So
they began to celebrate. Meanwhile, the older son was in the
field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing. So
he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on.
'Your brother has come,' he replied, 'and your father has killed
the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.' The
older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father
went out and pleaded with him. But he answered his father, 'Look!
All these years I've been slaving for you and never disobeyed your
orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could
celebrate with my friends. But when this son of yours who has
squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the
fattened calf for him!' 'My son,' the father said, 'you are always
with me, and everything I have is yours. But we had to celebrate
and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive
again; he was lost and is found.'
Reflection:
My dear loving brothers and sisters,
now we are in Lenten season, these bible words give us very nice
insight. there are 3 steps are involved in the prodigal's son
return, first, he comes to himself, second, he arise and third he
goes to father.
We have to understand where I am, what my condition is. So then we
must have good decision I must change my life, then goes to Jesus,
"help me" "you are the son of living God, how mercy on me" really
he will help us. So need a very deep repentance "REPENTANCE MEANS
LEARNING TO SAY ABBA AGAIN, PUTTING ONE'S WHOLE TRUST IN THE
HEAVENLY FATHER, RETURNING TO THE FATHER'S HOUSE AND THE FATHER'S
ARMS.
I wish you a nice prayer meeting

Bible word
John 1 19-27
Now this was John's testimony when the Jews of
Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to ask him who he was. He did
not fail to confess, but confessed freely, I am not the Christ.
They asked him, Then who are you? Are you Elijah? He said, I am
not. Are you the Prophet? He answered, No. Finally they said, Who
are you? Give us an answer to take back to those who sent us. What
do you say about yourself? John replied in the words of Isaiah the
prophet, I am the voice of one calling in the desert, 'Make
straight the way for the Lord.' Now some Pharisees who had been
sent questioned him, Why then do you baptise if you are not the
Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet? I baptise with water, John
replied, but among you stands one you do not know. He is the one
who comes after me, the thongs of whose sandals I am not worthy to
untie.
Reflection:
My dear loving brothers and sisters, we are in a good mood of
Christmas. The time of Christmas is not only a celebration but a
blessing too. How we can receive this blessing in our daily life,
only one thing "make the straight path for the lord to travel".
Very meaning full word, to prepare our heart, take away the stone,
only by the power of God. So this time we can specially look our
heart. We can have some work in our heart it is clean and purify,
by confession and reconciliation will help to clean our heart.
I wish you a nice prayer meeting

Bible word
Luke 2 1-7
In
those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be
taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that
took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) And everyone
went to his own town to register. So Joseph also went up from the
town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of
David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went
there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him
and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came
for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a
son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because
there was no room for them in the inn.
Reflection:
My dear loving brothers and sisters,
very near to Christmas, I was thinking and reflecting about the
messages I have to write. I got the inspiration that I would like
to share to you.
(1) There was no room for them. - In Christmas season
usually we look only celebration, it is very nice we have a reason
for celebration... Because now we have somebody that our child
Jesus, before giving birth to child Jesus mother Mary didn’t get
place; suffering and happiness. Don’t be discouraged when we have
suffering. Believe our tears will bring joy and happy. Believe and
trust in Jesus
(2) Christmas will bring more hope. It is very important;
we have hope in our lord Jesus Christ. Whatever situation we have
now, believe and trust in him.
(3) My congregation send me Philippines for my higher
studies (when I am writing in manila - but your time of prayer
meeting I will be in India) so after 3 years I am going to visit
my parents and friends and congregation priests. I am very much
excited
to see them and I brought some gift for them. Really Christmas
bring deep wonderful experience. So what gift I have to my Jesus?
I
wish you a nice prayer meeting and a joyful Christmas,
Your
loving brother

Bible word
Luke 2 8-20
And
there were shepherds living out in the fields near by, keeping
watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to
them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were
terrified. But the angel said to them, Do not be afraid. I bring
you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today
in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; he is Christ
the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped
in cloths and lying in a manger. Suddenly a great company of the
heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his
favour rests. When the angels had left them and gone into heaven,
the shepherds said to one another, Let's go to Bethlehem and see
this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about. So
they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was
lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word
concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who
heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary
treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The
shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things
they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
Reflection:
The angel said to them “Don’t be afraid I am here with good news
for you. He will bring great joy to all the people”. How happy
messages to the all people – joy for all - hope for all.
Dear brothers and sisters, if we are looking only this earth we
can not find meaning for many things but when we connect the
heaven too, we will find meaning.
I
wish you a nice prayer meeting,
Your
loving brother
in Christ
