FR. JOSEPH VADAKKEL
(Sabu Sebastian)
Sabu Sebastian Vadakkel was born on 16 January 1965 in Kallarkutty,
in the district of Idukki as the first child of three children.
From 1971 to 1981 he attended the Convent school in Kallarkutty.
After his schooldays he joined the Congregation of the Blessed
Sacrament in Kottayam and got the name Joseph. He studied theology
and philosophy and was ordained in December 1993.
In 1994 he founded his retreat centre in Kalady in the
state
of Kerala and in 1997 he started giving retreats in Europe,
especially in Germany, Switzerland, France, Sweden and Romania.
Moreover he led retreats in Dubai and in the Ukraine.
In India he has already given 150 weekly retreats, not only in his
retreat centre but also in parishes, colleges, seminaries and
cloisters. In the year 2000 the archbishop of the archbishopric
Trichur appointed him as the leader of biblical conventions.
From January 2003 onwards he will be on the Philippines in order
to do a doctorate.
